Increase the speed of your favorite Precision Bass with the P to J Conversion neck. Designed to fit on a Precision Bass body but featuring the profile and nut width of a Jazz Bass neck, this conversion neck will create a bass that has the classic P Bass thump along with the ease of Jazz Bass playability.

Fender replacement necks are made at Fender manufacturing facilities to the same specifications as those used on our instruments. This Ensenada, Mexico-made P/J Bass conversion neck features a maple or pau ferro fingerboard, a 12” radius and 20 medium jumbo frets. The maple neck has a comfortable modern “C” profile with a smooth satin urethane finish on the front and back of the neck. The headstock has a gloss finish with an authentic Precision Bass decal to complete the classic look.

The synthetic bone nut is pre-slotted with "pilot" string location grooves to make spacing a breeze when performing the final string slot filing. For true Fender authenticity, it's also serialized and stamped, with genuine headstock logo decal.

This replacement neck is for a Fender or Squier® by Fender guitar.

Because Fender genuine replacement necks have not been mounted to guitar bodies, nut slots must be cut by qualified personnel. Other installation processes may be required, such as fret work, fitting the neck to the neck pocket, and other instrument setup procedures.
